Gas Engine Service Technician (Gas Engines)

Location: Hungary; frequent travel of approximately 70% within Hungary and neighboring countries, including Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Austria, Poland, and the Balkans.

Salary: Gross monthly salary of HUF 628,000–785,000, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Perform planned maintenance and inspections on gas engines and district heating plants after completing the training program.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and support commissioning activities.
• Provide technical support to customers, partners, and international distributors in English.
• Prepare professional service reports, protocols, and related documentation.
• Travel frequently to customer and service locations across Hungary and neighboring countries.

Requirements

• Conversational English is required for communication with international partners and distributors.
• Basic technical qualification or background in electrical engineering, automotive technology, agricultural machinery, or mechatronics.
• Basic maintenance or repair experience and confidence using tools.
• Motivation to learn gas-engine technologies and a proactive work approach; recent graduates are welcome.
• Willingness to travel frequently, a valid Category B driving licence, and confident driving skills.
• Basic computer literacy, including MS Office.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience as an automotive, truck, bus, motorcycle, agricultural machinery, or heavy-equipment mechanic or technician.
• Experience with power generation, gas engines, diesel engines, or industrial maintenance.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and fault-finding skills.
