Director - Technical Solutioning (AWS)

Location: Remote, aligned to Boulder, Colorado, USA; 50%–70% client-facing travel is required.

Salary: $179,760–$341,520 annually for U.S. full-time roles. Regional ranges may differ.

What you will do

• Design end-to-end AWS, multi-cloud, hybrid-cloud, private-cloud, and managed-service architectures.
• Develop secure landing zones, modernization frameworks, resilient platforms, disaster-recovery designs, and high-availability solutions.
• Lead architectural workshops, executive discussions, competitive solution reviews, and customer engagements for enterprise and public-sector clients.
• Direct RFP and RFI responses, technical narratives, solution scopes, cost cases, financial models, and Total Contract Value estimates.
• Partner with sales and Go-To-Market leaders to qualify pursuits, protect margins, structure deals, and complete delivery handoffs.
• Lead and mentor matrixed teams of architects, engineers, pricing specialists, consultants, and delivery leaders.

Requirements

• 15+ years of IT, cloud, infrastructure, or technology consulting experience, including 10+ years leading complex solution design and pre-sales architecture pursuits.
• Proven experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, hybrid and private cloud, VMware, managed services, and cloud migration.
• Experience with U.S. Federal or government contracts, public-sector regulatory frameworks, and executive or C-suite client engagements.
• Expertise in Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, container platforms, cloud orchestration, FinOps, cloud security, IAM, encryption, and compliance.
• Experience leading RFP/RFI responses, business cases, financial modeling, contract negotiations, risk mitigation, and solution handoffs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience with $10M+ enterprise transformation or federal programs, FedRAMP, procurement gates, and government security boundaries.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, TOGAF, or ITIL certification.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Technology Management, or a related discipline.
