Customer Engineer IV-EPI

Location: Shanghai, China; on-site work required. Travel is required for approximately 20% of the time, and the position is relocation eligible.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and service customer semiconductor equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment issues using diagnostic tools, digital analytics, technical documentation, and task plans.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Communicate with customers and internal business units and lead projects when required.
• Train and mentor junior Field Service and Customer Engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 7–10 years of experience in the semiconductor or equipment support industry.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude covering pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, and/or thermodynamics.
• Advanced knowledge of wafer processing parameters and strong knowledge of hand tools and digital multimeters.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport if travel is required.
• Ability to meet on-site safety, environmental, clean-room, and physical requirements, including use of personal protective equipment and lifting up to 35 lbs.
