Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Menominee, Michigan, United States; onsite, 3rd shift from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday

Salary: $24.40–$31.70 per hour; 3rd-shift rate starts at $24.40 per hour plus a $1.00 shift premium

What you will do

• Maintain, repair, install, fabricate, adjust, rebuild, align, and troubleshoot facilities, production equipment, machines, and building systems.
• Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties and perform temporary or permanent repairs to keep production running.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, start-up and shutdown activities, and repairs across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, electronic, machining, welding, and other plant systems.
• Read complex drawings, blueprints, specifications, manuals, charts, and written or verbal instructions.
• Order maintenance parts, maintain tooling inventory, and keep equipment, work areas, storage areas, and grounds clean and orderly.
• Communicate equipment conditions across shifts, train assigned employees on safe work methods, and recommend improvements to processes, productivity, and safety.

Requirements

• Proficiency in advanced shop mathematics and the use of precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of mechanical methods and procedures.
• Ability to work with complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, handbook formulas, and manuals.
• Ability to plan and perform unusual or difficult work with limited direction.
• Ability to lift 25–35 pounds for 15–40% of the workday.
• Must be able to work onsite in Menominee, Michigan, on the 3rd shift. Employment visa sponsorship is not available.
