Maintenance Mechanical Technician

Location: Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, United States; onsite 12-hour night shift

Salary: $30.64–$36.62 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain, repair, install, and overhaul production and facilities equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, compressors, refrigeration systems, and boilers.
• Perform mechanical and pipefitting work, including machine-part replacement, welding, threading, and pipe-system installation.
• Troubleshoot equipment by inspecting and testing components, identifying defects, and using schematics, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, and specifications.
• Dismantle, repair, and reassemble equipment using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, hoists, and other maintenance equipment.
• Document maintenance and repair activities, assist with apprentice training, and monitor contractors and other personnel.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or higher, completed and verified before starting.
• At least five years of experience in an industrial maintenance setting, or completion of a federally certified 8,000-hour journeyman program or equivalent skilled-craft training.
• A technical college degree in a mechanical field may also qualify.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Ability to work a 12-hour night shift and follow safety, environmental, health, and security policies.
