Location: Penang, Malaysia
What you will do
- Purchase materials and manage order fulfillment to support business demand, inventory turns, and supplier delivery performance.
- Track purchase order status, shipping, delivery information, backlog updates, reporting, and supplier communications.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and provide quotes to support customer opportunities.
- Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and transportation teams to ensure timely receipt and delivery of products.
- Manage non-conforming inventory, product disposition, inventory aging, fill rates, stock rotation, and liquidations.
- Support supplier management initiatives, process improvements, and cross-functional projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Typically less than 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Foundational knowledge of specialized disciplines, industry practices, and standards.
- Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and develop solutions to defined tasks.
- Ability to collaborate with management and team members across the department or function.
