Product Development Program Manager (Ground Encryptor)

Location: Carlsbad, California, or Marlborough, Massachusetts, United States. This is a US Government position requiring US citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Travel of up to 25% is required.

Salary: $141,500–$224,000 annually. For specific work locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area, the range is $176,000–$264,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead teams designing, developing, qualifying, certifying, and transitioning secure networking and communication appliances to production.
• Manage complex government programs from inception through completion.
• Coordinate system architecture, electrical, software, mechanical, engineering analysis, test equipment, and integration and test teams.
• Track program milestones, risks, issues, decisions, quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage communications with internal teams, government customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Lead cross-disciplinary teams across multiple organizations and geographic locations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of program management experience supporting government programs.
• 5+ years of experience leading technical teams.
• Experience managing suppliers and subcontractors as part of program deliverables.
• Knowledge of EVMS practices and strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• US citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience overseeing cryptographic hardware development programs and developing hardware platforms for cryptographic services.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity technologies, encryption devices, IP networking, and certification processes.
• Experience leading and writing government proposals.
• PMP certification.
