2027 Summer Intern, BS/MS, Software Engineering, Maneuvering Tech

Location: Hybrid onsite in San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $60/hour for Bachelor's students; $70/hour for Master's students.

What you will do

• Investigate driving behavior issues using logs and identify root causes.
• Analyze large datasets to find trends in autonomous driving behavior.
• Research, design, and implement perception and driving behavior improvements in depots with many vehicles.
• Improve evaluation capabilities for understanding on-road performance.
• Help solve challenging long-tail driving situations.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a similar technical field.
• General software engineering experience with C++ and the ability to write robust, efficient code.
• Ability to collaborate within and across teams.
• Availability for a hybrid onsite internship in San Francisco, California.

Nice to have

• Autonomous vehicle or robotics experience.
• Experience with graph search, optimization, or path planning algorithms.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
