AU/NZ Paralegal (Personal Injury)

Location: Remote from the Philippines; AU working hours and holidays.

Salary: PHP 60,000–80,000 per month.

Dynamic Victorian law firm practicing personal injury, criminal, family, employment, immigration, civil litigation, and dispute resolution law across Australian courts and Legal Aid Panel jurisdictions.

What you will do

• Progress personal injury files, clear the backlog, and prioritize matters requiring action over the next 12 months.
• Prepare comprehensive briefs for barristers and compile medical and client records.
• Draft correspondence, file notes, affidavits, and standard legal documents.
• Manage court calendars, diarize deadlines, and track file status in PracticePanther and ActionStep.
• Support family law, Legal Aid Panel administration, and matters across criminal, civil, employment, and immigration law.
• Support the migration from ActionStep to PracticePanther and assist senior leadership.

Requirements

• Paralegal experience managing personal injury matters.
• Strong knowledge of legal documentation, court procedures, and barrister brief preparation.
• Excellent written English with precise legal drafting and proofreading skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage a busy caseload, and prioritize urgent tasks without close supervision.
• Availability for AU working hours and holidays.
• Independent contractor engagement.

Nice to have

• Experience in an Australian legal environment, ideally Victoria.
• Hands-on experience with ActionStep or PracticePanther.
• Exposure to family law, workers' compensation, debt recovery, or affidavit drafting.
