What you will do

• Provide administrative support to litigation teams across MOJ, OICP, Small Claims, Fast Track, and Multi-Track motor claims valued up to £150k.
• Answer calls, gather relevant information, and keep file handlers updated on completed tasks and enquiries.
• Contact third parties, courts, experts, and counsel to arrange hearings, chase documents, and agree extensions.
• Record key court dates in the case management system and maintain current CRU recoverable-benefit certificates.
• Complete management information, draft write-off forms, request final bills, and resolve billing queries.
• Support file closure and transfer activities.

Requirements

• Established interest in law through further education or experience in a process-driven legal environment.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workloads while following instructions accurately.
• Strong listening, verbal communication, teamwork, and client-service skills.
• Good understanding of IT packages and case management processes.
• Suitable for a pre-litigation file handler moving into litigation or a law graduate starting a legal career.
