Autonomy and Robotics Engineer (AI)

Location: Onsite five days a week in Mossville, Illinois; typical locations are Peoria, Illinois, or Dallas, Texas. Relocation is available.

Salary: $89,210–$144,960 per year

What you will do

• Build AI-powered technologies that enable machines to perceive, understand, and interact with physical environments.
• Develop robotics, autonomy, automation, simulation, and software solutions for intelligent construction equipment.
• Program, configure, test, and integrate autonomous robots, machines, vehicles, and sensor-based systems.
• Use simulation, modeling, and digital twin tools to validate machine behavior, controls, and system performance.
• Debug complex hardware and software systems and advance prototypes toward reliable, production-ready solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in robotics, computer science, computer engineering, data science, AI engineering, software engineering, systems engineering, mechatronics, or a related field; degree completion is required by the start date.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience, including internships or academic projects.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 without rounding.
• Knowledge of robotics software, artificial intelligence, object-oriented development, HMI software and systems, and mobile operating systems.
• Experience or exposure to robotics, autonomy, mechatronics, embedded systems, firmware, real-time software, ROS/ROS2, Python, computer vision, AI/ML, or machine communication protocols.
• Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with autonomous robots, machines, vehicles, or sensor-based systems.
• Experience applying AI/ML, computer vision, data analytics, or cloud-based tools to engineering problems.
