Field Applications Engineer (FAE) (FPGA)

Location: Remote, Maryland, United States

Salary: $150.9K–$218.4K USD annually, plus incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Drive adoption of FPGA-based solutions across assigned customer accounts.
• Collaborate with field sales engineers, other applications engineers, factory applications, product marketing, and business development teams.
• Build relationships with customer engineering teams and identify new opportunities.
• Support architecture definition, solution evaluation, design implementation, FPGA IP, and development tools.
• Develop technical demonstrations and participate in on-site customer visits for product design and reviews.
• Diagnose technical issues, resolve or escalate customer problems, and provide feedback on product requirements and market trends.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a hardware engineer.
• Experience with FPGA, ASIC, and/or digital design.
• Experience with FPGA development tools such as Quartus or Vivado.
• Experience with VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, OpenCL, or high-level synthesis tools.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Applicants must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations.

Nice to have

• Post-bachelor's degree.
• Experience in technical sales, applications, technical marketing, or technical product marketing.
• Experience with embedded SoC, ASIC, ASSP, CPU, microcontroller, ARM-based processor, board-level, DSP, or signal-integrity design.
