Category Buyer III (Procurement): Developing and executing category strategies, managing supplier agreements, and delivering supply network solutions in a manufacturing environment with an accent on strategic sourcing, cost reduction, supplier development, and contract management. Focus on leading sourcing projects, analyzing procurement data, negotiating with suppliers, and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across global regions.
Location: Tianjin, China; onsite five days a week. Domestic travel of up to 20% may be required, with flexibility to work across multiple time zones on global projects.

What you will do
- Develop, manage, and execute category strategies, policies, supplier agreements, source catalogs, and procurement programs.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, inventory optimization, quality improvement, and risk mitigation.
- Provide supply network solutions expertise using QCLDM to deliver value.
- Act as the liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers while balancing production demands and supplier conditions.
- Document supplier performance related to timeliness and production, maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Support global sourcing initiatives and collaborate with procurement teams across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of direct procurement or sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in supplier development, cost reduction, contract negotiation, commercial management, and sourcing project leadership.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with SAP or another ERP/procurement system, plus Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power BI.
- Fluent English in written and verbal communication; the role requires onsite work in Tianjin five days per week.
Nice to have
- Procurement experience in heavy industry, automotive, construction equipment, or industrial manufacturing.
- Professional certification such as CPSM, CIPS, PMP, or APICS.
