Senior AI Engineer

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. The role supports hirify.global's international business services hub in Warsaw. Due to U.S. export control requirements, only U.S. persons are eligible; non-U.S. persons cannot be sponsored for an export control license.

Salary: $145,900–$234,200 per year, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus, other incentive compensation, or equity.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for AI software platforms and cloud deployment patterns supporting Supply Chain and Enterprise Digital.
• Define architecture and delivery strategies for AI, machine learning, Generative AI applications, agentic workflows, APIs, and cloud-native data platforms.
• Build and review reusable libraries, orchestration patterns, model-serving interfaces, APIs, and platform accelerators for production AI solutions.
• Establish AI/ML/LLMOps practices covering testing, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, model and prompt versioning, evaluation, monitoring, incident response, and rollback.
• Integrate SAP and enterprise data sources into trusted data products, feature engineering pipelines, semantic layers, and decision-support services.
• Partner with product, architecture, cybersecurity, quality, validation, infrastructure, and business stakeholders while mentoring engineers across regions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
• 7+ years of software, data, or AI engineering experience, including 4+ years delivering production ML, GenAI, analytics, automation, or data-intensive systems.
• Expert Python and SQL skills, strong software architecture fundamentals, and experience with Java, Scala, or TypeScript.
• Frontend experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and a modern framework such as React, Angular, Vue, or Svelte, plus backend experience designing production APIs and services.
• Experience architecting and operating LLM/GenAI systems, including RAG, agents, tool use, embeddings, vector search, evaluation, guardrails, monitoring, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Cloud architecture and regulated-environment experience, including IAM, networking, secrets management, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, GxP, data integrity, validation documentation, and change control.

Nice to have

• Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical manufacturing, supply chain, quality, or another regulated operational domain.
• Experience with SAP ECC/S/4HANA, IBP, MM, PP, QM, SD, EWM/WM, MDG, BTP, or related analytics enablement.
• Advanced Databricks, Terraform, feature engineering, vector search, model monitoring, and lakehouse governance experience.
• Experience with forecasting, optimization, simulation, anomaly detection, scheduling, inventory, logistics, or decision intelligence.
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and shaping engineering communities across global teams.
