Strategic Finance Analyst (AI)

Location: Vancouver, BC; hybrid with 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Lead annual operating planning, budgeting, rolling forecasting, and performance tracking for a business segment.
• Analyze unit economics, transaction volumes, pricing structures, product mix, margins, and EBITDA drivers.
• Build multi-scenario financial models for corporate development, M&A diligence, integration, and strategic expansion.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Operations, and Customer Success leaders to model growth initiatives.
• Develop KPI frameworks, automated dashboards, reporting pipelines, and executive or board financial materials.
• Use AI and LLM tools to automate analytical workflows, improve forecasting, and identify transaction anomalies.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in corporate development, private equity, or junior investment banking.
• 2–3 years of analyst or FP&A experience in fintech, payments, or transaction-focused industries.
• Hands-on experience building and defending financial models during due diligence and leadership meetings.
• Strong knowledge of unit economics, transaction volumes, pricing structures, cohort profitability, and CAC/LTV dynamics.
• Practical experience using Claude or similar AI tools to prompt financial models, interpret data outputs, and automate analytical tasks.
• Availability to work from the Vancouver office three days per week, with meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical curiosity.

Nice to have

• Exposure to identity verification, compliance, KYC, AML, or regulatory fintech.
• Experience working in scaling or hypergrowth companies.
