General Ledger Senior Accountant

Location: Warsaw, Poland; 70% in-office work model.

What you will do

• Support General Ledger and Fixed Assets accounting, including prepaids, accruals, cash accounting, capitalization, construction in progress, transfers, disposals, depreciation, reconciliations, and SAP record maintenance.
• Prepare journal entries, supporting schedules, reconciliations, and analyses for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Review capital projects and fixed asset transactions for compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Maintain SOX control documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Analyze variances and accounting transactions, investigate root causes, and recommend practical improvements.
• Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement across accounting operations in collaboration with Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Engineering, and Facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including General Ledger and/or Fixed Assets accounting in a complex global environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and financial close processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and prioritization skills.
• Full professional proficiency in English required.
• ERP and Excel experience; SAP experience is highly valued.
