What you will do
- Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, rollforwards, and supporting schedules.
- Manage accounting for contractor, consulting, professional services, software licensing, cloud computing, and other technology-related expenses.
- Review vendor agreements, statements of work, and procurement arrangements to determine appropriate accounting treatment under U.S. GAAP.
- Perform variance analysis, prepare management reporting packages, and develop reporting solutions from large financial data sets.
- Support internal and external audits, SOX controls, accounting estimates, and financial governance requirements.
- Improve accounting processes through automation while providing guidance and oversight to offshore and third-party accounting resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education, training, and relevant experience.
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience in a complex corporate or public accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, accrual accounting, account reconciliations, and complex close activities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, and financial modeling.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems and large financial data sets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and prioritization skills.
Nice to have
- Certified Public Accountant designation or active progress toward certification.
- Experience with software, cloud computing, technology, telecommunications, or professional services accounting.
- Experience reviewing contracts, vendor agreements, statements of work, or procurement transactions.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, Workday, Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, or comparable systems.
