Senior Manager, Regulatory Accounting & Disclosures (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA; hybrid with staff expected to be in an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time

Annual salary: $230,000–$300,000 USD

What you will do

• Own mechanisms for tracking leases, capital expenditures, company footprint changes, and their financial and non-financial reporting implications.
• Prepare mandatory disclosures under frameworks including EU CSRD and Australian ASRS, and develop related risk assessment methodologies.
• Manage corporate reporting for carbon, energy, water, and other non-financial metrics.
• Design controls, documentation, and technology systems to make non-financial reporting assurance-ready, and manage external assurance processes.
• Develop disclosure strategy and governance with Legal, Communications, and Policy teams, including voluntary frameworks such as CDP and EcoVadis.
• Build a scalable customer-request process, maintain the answer library, meet Sales SLAs, and own customer-level reporting methodology.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of mandatory reporting standards and experience building data management plans, documenting methodology choices, and defending them to auditors or assurance providers.
• Experience with cloud or data-center impact accounting, including electricity, energy, and supplier-specific data.
• Proficiency maintaining non-financial accounting platforms and coordinating multi-stakeholder data collection.
• Familiarity with financial accounting standards and experience partnering with financial accounting teams.
• Minimum education: bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in a relevant field.
• Visa sponsorship is available, subject to role and candidate eligibility.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of reporting experience owning regulatory reporting deliverables end to end.
• CPA and a sustainability reporting credential such as FSA Credential or GRI Professional.
• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, environmental science, engineering, sustainability, or a related quantitative field.
• Assurance experience, ISO 14001 experience, or public-sector procurement exposure.
• Experience building reporting processes from scratch and coordinating across Sales, Legal, Communications, and Finance.
