Director Global Procurement - Direct Materials (Biotech)

Location: Raheen, Limerick, Ireland; onsite

What you will do

• Develop and lead procurement strategies across managed direct-material spend categories.
• Manage procurement professionals directly or through a matrix structure, overseeing category management and sourcing projects.
• Develop and present procurement strategies aligned with category business objectives and operational requirements.
• Direct contract development and execution for spend under management.
• Partner with finance to align sourcing activities with financial controls, contracts, savings, and budgets.
• Lead complex negotiations and advise on strategic use of service providers while mentoring the procurement team.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in a relevant area.
• 12 years of relevant, progressive procurement experience.
• Preferably 9 years of direct sourcing experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
• Advanced judgment, strategic planning, independent thought leadership, and complex negotiation expertise.
• Onsite work in Raheen, Limerick is required for this role.
