Quality Technician, Lead - American Augers

Location: West Salem, Ohio, United States

Salary: $28.50–$32.50 per hour

American Augers, a division of The Toro Company, manufactures horizontal directional drills and auger boring machines supported by worldwide service operations.

What you will do

• Lead and develop Quality Technicians by coordinating daily assignments, training, and skills matrix management.
• Maintain quality documentation, support tooling requirements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform product audits using precision measurement tools, a Faro measurement arm, and PolyWorks software.
• Verify products against engineering prints and customer orders, report nonconformities, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Manage gauge calibration activities and perform calibration tests on plant measuring devices.
• Support design reviews, ISO audits, pressure testing of welded vessels, and follow-up audits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience leading and developing a small team.
• Knowledge of root cause corrective action procedures and ISO reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of PolyWorks software, blueprint reading, general CMM principles, and gauge calibration.
• Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel and learn additional software used in the auditing process.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of welding and fabrication.

• Work schedule is 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with some overtime on Fridays.
