Associate Director, Biotherapeutics

What you will do

• Establish and lead an integrated Biotherapeutics team advancing large molecules from early exploration to IND.
• Serve as a scientific lead and subject matter expert across cross-functional projects and therapeutic areas.
• Identify targets, technologies, milestones, resource needs, and external opportunities for the biologics portfolio.
• Design and execute experiments supporting large-molecule programs through clinical candidate selection.
• Translate scientific and competitive insights into strategic portfolio recommendations.
• Manage project leaders and scientists, evaluate performance, and maintain the quality of technical reports.

Requirements

• PhD or MS in Immunology or a related discipline, with experience in biotherapeutics discovery and engineering.
• Deep expertise in biotherapeutics discovery, antibody structure-function, protein structure, and biophysics assays for developability screening.
• Track record advancing biologics, cell and gene therapies, or other biotherapeutic modalities toward the clinic.
• Experience leading teams, mentoring scientists with advanced degrees, and managing CROs and external partners.
• Strong scientific communication, presentation, organization, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Recognized expertise in the therapeutic area, drug discovery, or innovative technology development.
