Associate Director, Translational Science (Cell Therapy)

Location: Hybrid role based in Somerset, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $168,372–$220,988 USD annually, plus performance-based bonus and/or equity for eligible roles.

What you will do

• Lead program-specific translational plans from lead optimization through Phase II clinical trials.
• Oversee analysis and integration of high-dimensional datasets, including scRNA-seq, CITE-seq, flow cytometry, and spatial transcriptomics.
• Identify pharmacodynamic markers, predictive signatures, mechanisms of action, patient stratification factors, and drug-resistance insights.
• Partner with Clinical Development and Clinical Operations to implement biomarker assays in clinical protocols and ensure high-quality data collection.
• Manage CRO and academic collaborations for specialized assay development and advanced data processing.
• Represent Translational Science on program teams and author technical reports, regulatory documents, publications, and conference materials.

Requirements

• PhD or MD/PhD in Immunology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience or equivalent academic leadership in translational research.
• Extensive knowledge of human autoimmune and oncology diseases, immuno-oncology, autoimmune disease, or cell therapy such as CAR-T or TCR-T.
• Hands-on experience with genomic data analysis pipelines and integration of multiple datasets.
• Proven experience developing, validating, and clinically implementing complex biomarkers.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility is verified through Form I-9 and E-Verify.
