Technical Supervisor for Event Technology

Location: Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany. The role requires on-site event work and up to 75% travel.

What you will do

• Manage a technical discipline such as audio, video, lighting, rigging, or power distribution throughout event pre-planning, production, and post-show activities.
• Design technical systems, production plans, equipment selections, technical drawings, budgets, and labour requirements with project managers and warehouse leads.
• Operate and troubleshoot high-end audio-visual equipment and ensure systems meet client requirements and production safety standards.
• Lead assigned internal and external crews, coordinate with clients and suppliers, and manage on-site event delivery.
• Complete post-show labour, timesheet, expense, sub-rental, maintenance, reporting, and feedback activities.
• Coach, train, and develop technicians while supporting performance management, staffing, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in live, large-venue audio-visual production.
• 5+ years of audio-visual expertise with an expert-level technical skill set in a specific discipline.
• 2+ years of crew lead experience, which does not necessarily require direct reports.
• Strong customer service, organization, problem-solving, written communication, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.
