Technical Building Equipment Engineer (Electrical)

What you will do

• Design electrical systems for residential, hybrid, and energy-efficient buildings across HOAI phases 1–5, with potential involvement in phases 6–7.
• Prepare technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and tender materials for residential and commercial projects.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architecture, structural engineering, contractors, and other technical disciplines.
• Support grid connection approvals and communication with network operators.
• Design and coordinate PV installations, e-mobility charging infrastructure, and energy-efficient building systems.
• Support construction coordination, site supervision, and author’s supervision where required.

Requirements

• Strong experience designing electrical building services for residential or hybrid buildings.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of HOAI design phases, especially LPH 1–5, plus DIN VDE standards, TAB requirements, and grid connection processes.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with experience using EPLAN or WSCAD.
• Experience with DIALux or similar lighting calculation software and Caneco or SIMARIS.
• Ability to work in both German and English in technical and collaborative settings.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of electrical requirements for timber construction.
• Experience with AVA software such as Orca AVA.
