GTO Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op (MedTech)

Location: Cornelia, Georgia, United States; onsite. Full-time co-op from January to May 2027, 40 hours per week.

What you will do

• Analyze and correct chemical, electrical, and mechanical operating problems affecting site operations.
• Support continuous improvement projects with Senior Engineers and mentors.
• Write test protocols, prepare final reports, and document meeting minutes.
• Gain hands-on experience with adhesives, polymer resins, monofilament and multifilament extrudate, and needle manufacturing.
• Present end-of-semester work to site management and participate in site volunteer activities.

Requirements

• Completed the freshman year at an accredited university and currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in engineering, materials science, mechatronics, plastics engineering, or a related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including basic pivot tables and graphs.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States without requiring current or future employment visa sponsorship.
• No employment or internship commitment may interfere with the January–May 2027 co-op term.

Nice to have

• Experience with statistical analysis techniques and software.
• Experience with CAD, Tableau, Power BI, or Minitab.
• Interest in industrial control systems, instrumentation, or MES systems for Automation & Control opportunities.
• Leadership or participation in campus or community service activities.
