Temp Purchasing Operations Specialist (Pharmaceuticals)

Salary: $24.60–$32.10 per hour

Develops RNA-targeted medicines, gene-editing approaches, and therapies for serious diseases, with operations spanning neurology, cardiology, and other areas of high patient need.

What you will do

• Review requisitions and create, process, and maintain purchase orders in the procure-to-pay system.
• Support laboratory, research, and business procurement requests and monitor orders through delivery.
• Onboard suppliers and maintain documentation in Coupa and related systems.
• Resolve supplier inquiries, order changes, cancellations, invoice discrepancies, and payment issues.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Shipping, and Receiving teams on procurement and delivery issues.
• Support reporting, data integrity, Coupa administration, testing, user support, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or procure-to-pay operations.
• Experience with procurement systems; Coupa experience is strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service, organization, time management, multitasking, and attention to detail.
• Effective communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and supplier management.
• Professional procurement coursework or certifications such as CPSM, CPPB, CSCP, APICS, or ISM.
