Advanced Ground Test Engineer (Missile Defense)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado; work at Schriever Space Force Base. Full-time, with limited travel as needed.

hirify.global supports the Missile Defense Agency with research, development, testing, and evaluation of missile defense systems, including sensors, weapons, communications, and command-and-control systems.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and support execution of Hardware-in-the-Loop and distributed Missile Defense System ground tests.
• Support Mission Directors and Mission Test Directors during pre-mission and post-mission planning, coordination, and execution.
• Coordinate with MDA cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, and prepare technical and executive-level briefings.
• Lead contractor ground-test activities, manage schedules and priorities, and coordinate weekly Integration Event Test Team planning meetings.
• Resolve issues across test planning, integration, execution, and analysis while tracking documentation, observations, watch items, and mitigations.
• Review situation reports and submit test data products to the Missile Defense Agency Data Distribution Center.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen and work in the United States.
• Must hold and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; an MS in engineering with 10 years of professional experience is preferred, or a BS with 15 total years of relevant experience may substitute.
• At least 10 years of experience, including direct Department of Defense experience.
• Experience with Missile Defense Agency testing, the Missile Defense System ground-test environment, and DoD test processes.
• Ability to lead ground-test activities, solve complex test planning and integration problems, and communicate effectively across internal and external organizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with MDA testing and knowledge of Missile Defense System components and system-level topics.
