Sr. Software Engineer (MXC)

Location: Fully remote within Mexico; an office is available in Mexico City for optional collaboration. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Mexico without sponsorship.

What you will do

• Design and develop features for the Incident Response product.
• Build reliable functionality for live emergencies, including correct behavior under load and predictable handling of degraded dependencies.
• Work across Python, Django, Next.js, React, Node, and other web technologies.
• Use AI-enabled tools such as Claude and Codex for development, problem-solving, documentation, and productivity.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, principal engineers, and leadership on architectural evolution.
• Contribute to an Agile development environment using Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building scalable web applications.
• Experience with Python, Django, React, and Node; full-stack experience is preferred.
• Experience with AWS or another cloud platform, Linux-based containers, Docker or Kubernetes.
• Required experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and other storage technologies.
• Established practice of writing unit and integration tests and proficiency with AI coding tools.
• Strong written and spoken English and the legal right to work in Mexico without sponsorship are required.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
