Billing Operations Analyst (AI)

What you will do

• Own billing operations for usage-based customers, including billing setup, payment requirements, and account information.
• Monitor the usage-to-bill lifecycle and reconcile source usage data with customer invoices.
• Investigate billing exceptions, failed events, unusual transactions, disputes, and cross-system discrepancies.
• Manage receivables, aging, collections, unapplied cash, and customer account exceptions.
• Support month-end close through billing completeness checks, accounts receivable reconciliations, usage reconciliations, and aging validation.
• Develop exception monitoring, controls, metrics, and automation across billing, collections, reconciliation, and reporting.

Requirements

• 3–6+ years of experience in Billing Operations, Order-to-Cash, Finance Operations, Accounts Receivable, or a related function.
• Experience with usage-based, consumption-based, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, API, or high-volume billing models is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large or complex billing datasets.
• Strong understanding of billing, accounts receivable, reconciliation, and financial controls.
• Experience with ERP, billing, payment, CRM, and data or reporting tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively across Finance and technical teams, with a strong automation and process-improvement mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with SOX controls or a controlled financial environment.
• SQL or similar data-analysis experience.
