Electronics Production Assembler I, II, or III (Quantum Computing)

Location: Burnaby, Canada; onsite production and laboratory work

Salary: Level I: 44,000–60,000 CAD per year; Level II: 51,000–69,000 CAD per year; Level III: 57,000–78,000 CAD per year.

What you will do

• Assemble electro-mechanical and cable assemblies, electrical components, connectors, wiring, and harnesses.
• Perform manual SMT soldering, fine-pitch component work, and PCB rework under magnification.
• Read engineering drawings, schematics, bills of materials, assembly instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
• Inspect and test assemblies, complete production records and inventory documentation, and verify product specifications.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and communicate technical questions, delays, and improvement opportunities.
• Support improvements to assembly methods, tooling, techniques, documentation, laboratory activities, and production operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education and experience; post-secondary technical training in electronics, electrical, mechanical, or a related field is an asset.
• Experience in electronics, electro-mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a related environment.
• Ability to use hand tools, soldering equipment, microscopes, and basic test equipment.
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation and bills of materials.
• Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds or more, and support peak production, laboratory, field, production, or shop activities as required.

Nice to have

• Fine-pitch SMT soldering and PCB rework experience.
• Experience working under a microscope or with electronics test equipment.
• Experience in a startup, research and development, or low-volume, high-complexity production environment.
