Staff Fullstack Engineer, SecureAI (AI)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid

Salary: CAD 160,000–220,000 annual base salary, plus applicable equity, bonus, and benefits.

What you will do

• Shape the technical strategy for the Identity Security Fabric and prioritize workstreams for securing AI agents.
• Build a Runtime Policy Decision Point and request-time authorization engine for agent requests.
• Connect policy-engine authoring, schema validation, no-code administration interfaces, and API-published policies.
• Validate delegated-agent representation rights and securely forward acting-user identities to downstream resources.
• Implement comprehensive audit logging for authorization decisions, including the applicable rule or reason.
• Improve AI-native development practices, CI/CD, observability, reliability, documentation, and engineering standards while partnering with Product and Design.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of full-stack software engineering experience across backend and frontend development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Deep backend engineering experience with Java or another type-safe language.
• High proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with the ability to build robust frontend applications.
• Experience designing scalable backend architectures, integrating complex APIs, and making organization-wide architectural decisions.
• Strong understanding of web authentication, authorization, and secure handling of sensitive user data.

Nice to have

• Experience with identity, authorization, or IAM protocols such as OAuth, OIDC, or SAML.
• Experience with agent frameworks, AI-facing APIs, or LLM developer toolchains.
• Experience leading an engineering team through changes in AI adoption, developer tooling, or engineering culture.
