Platform Business Process Consultant (Microsoft Power Platform)

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States. The first 30 days require onsite work five days per week; afterward, the schedule is hybrid with three onsite days per week. Typical working hours are 7:30 AM–4:30 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Pay rate: $60–$65 per hour, W-2 only. Duration: 18 months.

What you will do

• Analyze operational processes and lead initiatives that reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, and improve user experience.
• Gather and document business requirements, workflows, pain points, and desired outcomes with business and technical stakeholders.
• Design, build, test, and support Microsoft Power Apps Canvas and Model-Driven applications.
• Develop Power Automate workflows for business processes, approvals, and operational activities.
• Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint, Excel, Dataverse, SQL, and other enterprise data sources.
• Develop operational metrics, reports, dashboards, documentation, training, and end-user support while meeting governance, security, compliance, and risk standards.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on Microsoft Power Platform development experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with business processes, operations, business process management, or operational excellence.
• Hands-on experience with Power Apps, including Canvas and/or Model-Driven applications, and Power Automate workflows.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Knowledge of SharePoint, Dataverse, Excel, SQL, and enterprise data integrations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, listening, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, regulatory operations, information management, risk, compliance, or enterprise content management.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
• Experience with Power BI reporting, Power Fx, APIs, custom connectors, or enterprise-scale automation programs.
• Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Agile, or Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
