Lead Solutions Engineer - AI Technology

Location: New York, United States

Base salary: $175,000–$250,000 USD per year, plus discretionary performance bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead technical objectives and contribute hands-on development within a small business-facing technology team.
• Design, build, and maintain complex data pipelines and AI/ML systems.
• Research, design, code, test, and deploy firmwide platforms and tooling.
• Drive software architecture and design decisions for scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with researchers, portfolio managers, and technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Python developer focused on data engineering and AI/ML systems.
• Expert knowledge of Python and its ecosystem, including Pandas, NumPy, and PySpark.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable, efficient data pipelines.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus Docker and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in Git, CI/CD practices, and agile methodologies.
• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field from a top-tier institution.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch or scikit-learn.
• Experience with large language models, agents, or systems of agents.
• Finance industry experience.
