Investment Operations Specialist Lead (Securities)

Location: In office at 800 Prides Crossing, Newark, Delaware, United States

Salary: $28.58–$45.66 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus and/or commissions.

What you will do

• Act as a liaison with SEI Private Trust Company and internal departments on corporate actions, reorganizations, mutual fund trades, trust settlements, and asset transfers.
• Coordinate securities settlements with account officers, brokers, and investment managers, including resolving failed trades and processing settlement wires.
• Process investment transactions, reconcile account information, and prepare trust accounting entries for customer statements.
• Maintain securities transfer documentation, prepare transmittal letters, and serve as vault custodian for the non-officer portion of the dual custody program.
• Review system records and client agreements, verify eligibility and accuracy, manage risk, and resolve operational issues.
• Provide consultative support and direct or assist in supervising colleagues in Trust Operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of securities experience, preferably in trust securities.
• At least 8 years of experience with procedures, practices, and regulations governing trust-securities operations.
• Ability to analyze corporate actions, trade settlement confirmations, accounting and tax reporting entries, and interest or dividend payments.
• Ability to interpret legal documentation, resolve difficult situations with investment managers and brokers, and manage a high volume of concurrent work accurately.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; computer systems experience and lead-position experience are preferred.
