News Producer (Broadcast)

Location: Sacramento, California, United States; onsite at 4655 Fruitridge Road

Salary: $24.00+ per hour, commensurate with experience and skill level.

What you will do

• Produce daily newscasts for broadcast across television and digital platforms.
• Write, order, and approve news stories and scripts.
• Balance news and feature content to create compelling broadcasts.
• Edit video and publish stories and video to websites and eMedia platforms.
• Time news programs and manage multiple assignments under deadlines.
• Interact with viewers and users through social media.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Fluency in English required.
• At least two years of experience in news operations, depending on market size.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer and office equipment proficiency.
• Ability to prioritize assignments, meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and work any shift.
