What you will do

• Research, develop, shoot, write, edit, produce, and present accurate news stories for broadcast, digital, streaming, and social platforms.
• Generate original and enterprise story ideas relevant to the local community and maintain strong sources and community contacts.
• Cover breaking news through live reports, interviews, updates, and field or studio coverage.
• Produce daily news packages, special reports, and enterprise stories under tight deadlines.
• Create digital and social content for KTLM/Telemundo and collaborate with newsroom teams.
• Operate and maintain professional camera, lighting, audio, editing, and live transmission equipment, including LiveU and/or Dejero.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least two years of experience as a reporter, multimedia journalist, or journalist producing original news content.
• Experience independently shooting, writing, editing, and producing news stories using professional video, editing, and newsroom systems.
• Strong Spanish-language skills in written and verbal communication, plus the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and during breaking news, including flexible nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization, age 18 or older, and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record are required.

• Ability to perform live cut-ins, ad-lib in varied situations, and respond quickly and accurately to breaking news.
• Creative story development, strong organization, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills.
