Coating Operator - Weekend Day Shift

What you will do

• Set up and operate coating machines across both wet and dry ends.
• Prepare adhesives, solvents, additives, liners, and other raw materials for production.
• Control pressure, tension, temperature, line speed, adhesive application, coating thickness, and coated width.
• Perform machine cleaning, changeovers, adjustments, simple maintenance, and workstation organization.
• Inspect products for defects, monitor quality, insert flagging when needed, and report non-conformances or equipment problems.
• Train coater operators and assistants, communicate shift activities, and support housekeeping and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Fluent English in verbal and written communication.
• Basic math and reading skills, mechanical aptitude, and accurate use of measuring devices.
• Computer skills for production data entry and inventory accuracy.
• Ability to safely lift and position materials, including a 32-pound adhesive pump, and perform continual lifting and movement.
• Ability to work Friday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and arrive at the machine ten minutes before the shift.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of ERP systems.
• Good manual dexterity and eyesight for identifying product defects.
• Computer aptitude and ability to understand basic math.
