Coating Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Gallatin, Tennessee, United States; onsite. C/D shift: 5:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m., 11.5-hour shifts on a four-day schedule, with overtime as needed. Relocation is not available.

Salary: $25.00–$35.19 per hour

What you will do

• Set up, load, and operate automated Dip-spin and E-Coat systems for manufactured fasteners.
• Control coating processes through HMIs and system software, monitor performance, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Prepare, mix, and adjust coatings, acids, alkaline solutions, and other processing chemicals according to specifications.
• Inspect finished products for uniform coating coverage and compliance with quality standards.
• Perform equipment, paint-tool, and furnace maintenance; maintain process records and minimize downtime and waste.
• Train new employees on work procedures and support process improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Forklift experience and hirify.global Powered Industrial Truck Certification; certification will be provided.
• Ability to work in hot environments, around moving machinery, chemicals, loud noise, and dust or humid conditions, and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, safety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality-control processes.
• Basic computer skills, mathematical reasoning, reliable attendance, problem-solving ability, and effective communication.
• Must work onsite in Gallatin, Tennessee, on the assigned overnight C/D shift; relocation is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience as a coating operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Familiarity with industrial machinery, chemical handling, atmosphere-curing furnaces, titration testing, and furnace preventive maintenance.
