Powder Coat Operator (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Load and unload components and products onto fixtures.
• Prepare parts for coating using washing and electrochemical cleaning processes, with abrasive blasting when required.
• Operate powder coating equipment, including guns, hoppers, and booth systems.
• Bake and cure parts at specified temperatures and within required time limits.
• Inspect coating quality, identify defects, complete production and quality documentation, and pass compliant work to the next operation.
• Clean and maintain equipment while following safety, environmental, and production procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of experience and skill development.
• Ability to safely use small hand and power tools and read drawings and bills of material.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ability to perform medium-to-heavy physical work, including frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, and continuous standing and walking.
• Medical clearance to wear respirator equipment.

Nice to have

• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience.
• 1–2 years of experience as a painter or powder coat operator.
