Automotive General Service Technician / Mechanic

Location: Onsite at 1525 Zimmerman Trail, Billings, Montana, United States

Salary: USD 18–20 per hour; up to USD 28 per hour for the most skilled technicians.

What you will do

• Perform general vehicle maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, and suspension alignments.
• Conduct state-mandated vehicle emissions and safety inspections.
• Troubleshoot guest concerns and complete accurate courtesy vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance reports.
• Communicate vehicle damage and malfunctions to the service department.
• Follow federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know requirements.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized service areas and assist with housekeeping duties.

Requirements

• Current driver's license.
• Entry-level candidates are welcome; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift or move more than 50 pounds occasionally and work with vehicles raised overhead or in tight spaces.
• Dexterity with hand tools, ability to stand and walk for most of the workday, and ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
• Ability to maintain a brisk pace in a high-volume environment and efficiently use a computer.
