Principal Product Manager (AI)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States

Salary: $143,000–$286,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution of the shared AI platform powering developer experiences.
• Build reusable capabilities for runtime, routing, context, memory, reliability, observability, and extensibility.
• Support platform experiences across Web, IDE, CLI, Slack, Automations, and emerging surfaces.
• Define integration and extension models for internal teams and partners while reducing platform fragmentation.
• Use customer insights, telemetry, and AI evaluations to improve quality, task success, productivity, and reliability.
• Translate complex technical needs into product requirements, priorities, and decisions with engineering and product stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technology, including 5+ years in Product Management.
• Experience leading developer, AI, infrastructure, or other technically complex platforms.
• Strong technical fluency across APIs, cloud services, distributed systems, and developer workflows.
• Experience translating complex technology into scalable products and measurable outcomes.
• Experience using data and customer insights to prioritize roadmaps and influence engineering, product, and executive stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related area with 9 years of product management experience, or 11 years of experience in product management or a related area.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML or LLM platforms, agentic systems, developer tools, or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience designing APIs, SDKs, extensibility models, AI evaluation frameworks, or multi-product platform capabilities.
• Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, business administration, or a related area.
• Experience with consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
