Undergrad Co-op – DSTS – Chemical Engineering (January – June 2027) (Biotech)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; students must be located in the United States for the duration of the co-op. A transportation allowance is provided for eligible relocation.

What you will do

• Apply synthetic organic chemistry and chemical engineering principles to develop robust processes for active pharmaceutical ingredients.
• Learn process scale-up for small-molecule intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
• Help translate developmental processes into commercial manufacturing applications.
• Interact with scientists and engineers implementing advanced manufacturing technologies across multiple product modalities.
• Support R&D, clinical, and commercial partners through scientific and engineering work.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
• Must have completed at least one year of study before the co-op and remain enrolled after the program.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the program.
• Must be available for a full-time schedule from January through June 2027.

Nice to have

• Studies in chemical engineering, chemistry, or data science with an interest in organic synthesis and chemical engineering.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Laboratory experience, flow chemistry, biocatalysis, lab automation, or data analysis using Python.
