Counsel (Healthcare)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $138,900–$191,000 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Provide legal advice and support for Medicare Advantage business lines.
• Advise on Medicare Advantage regulations and healthcare fraud and abuse laws, including the Anti-kickback Statute and False Claims Act.
• Draft contract provisions addressing regulatory concerns.
• Collaborate with company leaders to support compliance and reduce external legal risk.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate and licensing in at least one U.S. state.
• At least 3 years of health law experience in a law firm or in-house healthcare organization.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or similar regulatory work.
• Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Experience negotiating contracts and working independently as well as within a team.
• Dedicated home workspace and internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds to protect member PHI and HIPAA information.

• Knowledge of the Medicare Advantage program.
• Knowledge of risk adjustment and the Stars quality program.
• Experience in managed care and value-based contracting.
