Sr. Specialist/TPM – L2 Test Management (SDV)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, or Novi, Michigan, United States. The role requires 4–5 days per week in the office, regular in-person meetings and events, and occasional travel.

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead HIL, SIL, and MIL system-integration readiness across Software Defined Vehicle programs.
• Coordinate hardware, software, firmware, calibration, network configuration, ECU availability, and feature maturity for integration vehicles and lab-car platforms.
• Drive Agile execution, sprint planning, backlog management, dependency tracking, release schedules, integration branches, and deployment milestones.
• Manage issue triage, defect tracking, risk mitigation, release blockers, engineering changes, and software or ECU revisions.
• Coordinate validation readiness, regression testing, OTA validation, diagnostics verification, secure flashing, acceptance criteria, and coverage metrics.
• Maintain integration dashboards and readiness metrics while providing executive updates and supporting launch reviews, integration war rooms, and technical milestones.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field, with 10+ years of experience.
• Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture, ECU-level software stacks, embedded systems, and automotive development processes.
• Experience with CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet, A2B, LVDS, UDS diagnostics, ISO 14229, and vehicle network tools such as CANalyzer and CANoe.
• Expertise with Jira, GitHub or GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, ALM/PLM, and proficiency with Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Generation, or PTC Windchill.
• Experience developing and verifying plant and control models in MATLAB/Simulink for hardware-in-the-loop environments, including dSPACE ControlDesk and AutomationDesk.
• Ability to work from the Charlotte or Novi office 4–5 days per week, attend in-person meetings, and travel for company events when required.
