Sr. ADAS Release Engineer (Automotive)

Base pay: $123,339–$185,009 USD annually

What you will do

• Develop electrical ADAS requirements for battery-electric vehicles, including the front camera module.
• Release control module part numbers in the Product Lifecycle Management system and maintain release levels as designs mature.
• Review hardware designs with cross-functional teams and manage Tier 1 suppliers.
• Develop test plans with HIL/SIL validation engineers and iterate on designs as issues are identified.
• Lead DFMEA reviews, identify technical risks, and improve controls logic to reduce detection failures.
• Train technicians and troubleshooters on subsystem operation and controls logic while applying cybersecurity and LEAN engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Software Engineering, or an equivalent ABET-accredited program is preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in electrical, software, or automotive engineering.
• Hands-on experience with open- and closed-loop control systems, sensors, actuators, body controllers, and ECUs.
• Experience with low- and high-voltage vehicle components, including wiring, relays, DCDC converters, motors, inverters, batteries, and onboard chargers.
• Knowledge of CAN-Bus, LIN, Ethernet, MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and structured troubleshooting methods such as 8D, five whys, and fishbone analysis.
• Applicants must be permanently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
