Sr. Systems Engineer (Vehicle Integration & Platforming)

Location: Wyoming, Minnesota, USA; travel may be required for less than 25% of the time.

Starting pay range: $100,000–$135,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead vehicle-level layouts, interface requirements, packaging studies, and integration strategies for powertrain modules and related subsystems.
• Develop and mature 3D CAD models, integration concepts, interface documents, and application guides through early development and production handoff.
• Facilitate technical trade studies balancing cost, performance, timing, manufacturability, serviceability, and customer value.
• Support tolerance, finite element, computational fluid dynamics, thermal, optimization, and other engineering analyses.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews, research emerging technologies, and benchmark competitive products.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in mechanical design, vehicle integration, powertrain systems, platform development, or a related field.
• Experience leading complex vehicle integration, platforming, commonality, or architecture initiatives across multiple vehicle programs.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software; Creo experience is preferred.
• Experience with systems engineering, requirements development, vehicle packaging, interface management, GD&T, DFMEA, design reviews, tolerance analysis, CAE-guided design, and engineering documentation.
