Machine Operator (Manufacturing)

Location: Boardman, OR, USA (East Plant); onsite manufacturing environment

What you will do

• Operate, clean, and troubleshoot optical sorter equipment, including vision modules, knife assemblies, ejection modules, light modules, conveyor belts, and shaker conveyors.
• Monitor line flow, product quality, waste, and Bad:Good ratios; correct issues affecting production and cost.
• Perform upfront defect checks, enter results into the QA system, and maintain product specifications.
• Coordinate with process and packaging operators, maintenance personnel, supervisors, and other shifts on line status, quality, sanitation, and equipment maintenance.
• Clean production areas, perform downtime cleanup, and provide break and lunch relief for the Cutter Deck Operator.
• Participate in AMD activities and maintain Centerlines and CILs.

Requirements

• English communication is required for verbal and written instructions; the requirement may vary by location.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Lock-out/Tag-out, forklift, and sanitation certifications are required; training is available for candidates who are not yet qualified.
• Ability to perform basic math, use computers for data entry, and work with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, climb stairs or ladders, and work with hands overhead.
• Ability to work in noisy, hot, cold, wet, slippery, dusty, and industrial manufacturing conditions, including temperatures from -20°F to 90°F.
