Senior Billing Specialist

Location: Williamsville, NY, United States; hybrid position with in-office requirements

What you will do

• Process daily invoices in a high-volume, multi-company environment.
• Generate invoices, submit them for payment, and post transactions in the accounting system.
• Create supplemental billing templates in Microsoft Excel and maintain electronic billing files.
• Review billing backup for accuracy and request missing information when needed.
• Submit invoices through government and customer platforms, including WAWF, IPP, and GSA.
• Follow up on billing issues, rejected invoices, and past-due balances while coordinating with Project Controls and Program Managers.

Requirements

• At least five years of corporate billing experience, or seven or more years of related experience in place of an associate degree.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with project-based ERP systems; Deltek Costpoint experience preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and standard office applications, especially Microsoft Excel, plus experience editing PDF documents.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, judgment, communication, and teamwork.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid arrangement with regular in-office attendance in Williamsville, NY.

Nice to have

• Experience reviewing legal contracts to understand billing requirements.
• Experience working in a multi-company environment.
