Location: On-site in El Paso, Texas, United States, with flexibility for off-site locations and field assignments.

What you will do

• Gather information and shoot, write, and edit breaking news, general news, and feature stories.
• Collaborate with producers, reporters, anchors, the Assignment Desk, and photojournalists on news stories and interview segments.
• Research news segments, search wires and partner sources, and place content on the appropriate platforms.
• Edit video using desktop editing systems, including breaking news footage.
• Create digital video news products for websites, apps, social media, OTT, and linear distribution.
• Generate story ideas, research topics, arrange interviews, and support newsroom content needs.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree at an accredited institution; sophomore standing or above with at least 30 credits.
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency is required, both written and verbal.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by hirify.global.
• Must be able to work on-site in El Paso, Texas, and participate in off-site and field assignments as needed.
• Strong communication, organization, computer-search, current affairs, teamwork, and deadline-management skills.
