What you will do

• Evaluate, research, and organize news stories into cohesive broadcast newscasts.
• Write conversational, active copy that matches video and appeals to target audiences.
• Oversee newscast production, timing, postproduction, and accuracy.
• Develop story ideas and collaborate with anchors, reporters, videographers, news managers, production, and engineering staff.
• Produce and edit content for broadcast, KOIN+ streaming, digital, and social platforms.
• Make editorial decisions during breaking news and execute strategies to grow audience engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in television, film, or a related field; equivalent experience may substitute.
• At least 2 years of television broadcast or production experience.
• Strong news judgment, journalistic integrity, writing, grammar, verbal, analytical, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of media production and written, oral, and visual communication techniques.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities in a high-stress, deadline-driven environment.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, overnights, early mornings, nights, and other shifts as required.
